CERAMIC FIBER
Ceramic fiber and refractory molybdenum electrode
Rod or plate | Short-term limit 1600 °C | Dense, melt-corrosion resistant structure
WeiBeam · Electrode solutions for high-temperature melting
These electrodes serve electric melting and fiberizing in ceramic fiber, rock wool and refractory fiber resistance furnaces. Immersed in the high-temperature melt, they conduct current to melt the raw material, which is then fiberized by spinning or blowing. Electrode performance is one of the key factors in fiberizing continuity and fiber quality. Because melt temperatures are high and the melt is aggressive, electrode density and melt-corrosion resistance matter. High-purity molybdenum with a dense sintered structure remains stable under short-term operation at about 1600 °C, reducing replacement frequency and downtime.
We customize rod and plate sizes based on furnace capacity, electrode ports and power supply, and can supply standard-size samples for on-line validation (actual results are documented by measurement).
In high-temperature melting and thermal-field systems this part is often used alongside electrodes elsewhere in the line. We recommend selecting them together against furnace structure, assembly method and working temperature to reduce thermal-expansion mismatch between different materials.

FAQ
Common questions
Selection, customization and quotation questions.
How do I choose a ceramic fiber electrode supplier?
Look at density, melt-corrosion resistance and whether the supplier has references in similar resistance-furnace fiberizing lines. We can supply samples for on-line trials so you can verify service life before fixing batch specifications.
Can you machine electrodes to drawing dimensions?
Yes. Rod or plate diameters, lengths, ports and connections can be machined to drawings, including non-standard shapes. Send the drawing and furnace parameters so we can confirm material and tolerances.
Are rock wool furnace electrodes different from ceramic fiber electrodes?
Melt chemistry and temperature differ slightly. Rock wool furnaces usually place more emphasis on resistance to alkaline melt and thermal shock. Material and dimensions can be adjusted to the actual furnace, as advised by our engineers.
