WeiBeam · Electrode solutions for high-temperature melting

  1. 01

    Incoming inspection

High-purity molybdenum base material is checked for composition and quality at the source.

  2. 02

    Process control

Key checkpoints at each production step control structural density and uniformity.

  3. 03

    Final release

Finished parts are released only after dimensional, visual and performance inspection, with batch traceability.

  4. 04

    Full traceability

Standardized production and inspection keep performance consistent across batches.

Inspection items and acceptance criteria

Electrodes are inspected batch by batch to YS/T 1312-2019 Molybdenum Electrodes and the mutual technical agreement. Crucibles, stream mouths, needles and other molybdenum parts are accepted to the relevant material standard or the technical agreement. Routine inspection covers chemical composition, density, hardness, dimensional tolerances, surface quality and internal defects. Molybdenum content is the core composition indicator, alongside Fe, Ni, C and O impurities. Density and hardness reflect the soundness of the sintered or forged structure; tolerances and straightness affect assembly and electrode clamping; cracks, pits and laminations are visually checked and recorded piece by piece before release. Records are archived by batch and can be supplied on request.

Batch traceability and retained samples

Each incoming lot records furnace number, batch and mill certificate. Production records cover pressing, sintering, forging and machining parameters, and finished parts carry a batch number to form a chain from raw material to finished product. Samples are retained for the agreed period to support re-inspection and failure analysis. If oxidation, cracking or abnormal consumption occurs on site, the batch record helps trace process parameters and raw materials while the user reviews furnace atmosphere, assembly and current load.

  • · Incoming material: chemical verification and visual check; failed lots isolated
  • · Process control: pressing density, sintering curve and forging reduction recorded per batch
  • · Final release: dimensions, density, hardness and surface quality inspected; report supplied with shipment
  • · After-sales traceability: process records retrieved by batch number to support failure analysis

Which standards apply?

Electrodes use YS/T 1312-2019 Molybdenum Electrodes as the primary standard. Molybdenum rods, plate and discs are accepted to ASTM B387 / GB/T 17792 and ASTM B386 / GB/T 3876 respectively. Crucibles, stream mouths, needles and other special shapes follow the mutual technical agreement. For special sizes not covered by a standard, drawing tolerances, the technical agreement and factory inspection records govern acceptance.
